WE have some good pictures of our bike trip , we were in 10 different states in 10 days. - we rode about 2200 Miles - We were with Larry and Marcia - we were good sports to ride this far with the men and not grip and complain - It was so pretty you forgot that you were tired -
When I get things back in right places I will post pictures
After months of not blogging , here I am to report we are still alive - we just got home today - we had a two weeks camping trip to the Smokey Mtn. aread - we has a good time except Trouble got sick while we were there and I was ready to bring her home to her vet. Thankfully the lady at the campground office recommended a vet that would see her - after checking with Dr. Steve ( her local vet) we took her to vet - she has a cold , allergies, fever and runny nose - We are going to take her in tomorrow to Dr. Steve - She still doesn't feel well - We also took a motorcycle trip Oct. 8 - 14 th. We rode up thru Ky, West Va., Va, Maryland, Pa. - Larry really liked our visit to Gettysburg, - - He is a history buff and loves this - We saw some beautiful country - I liked the Allegenies - We visited Mt. Airy - (home of Andy Griffith) North Carolina , back thru the Highlands and Helen , Ga. It was a good trip but I was ready to be home (2 nights ) before heading out again . I must stay put - get house ready for the holidays, and Christmas shopping done.
One of the highlights of camping was having my gran dog spend some time with us. - - He had a good time - loved walking (3 rounds a day) in the campground.
WE have another grandog that we have not met yet - we have pictures - maybe over the holidays we will see her (nora)

Relay for Life

Sunday morning and I am trying to relax with a cup of coffee . Happy to report that yesterday was a big sucess with our fund raiser for our Hartselle team in Relay for life. We have been selling ferns since March 19 to raise money - Our goal was $ 25,000 - happy to report that we exceeded that amount yesterday - We have worked hard on this - we still have a week to go - Last year we had $20,000 s0 we raised our goal for this year - thanks to all of you who have purchased plants from us. Without all of your support for our project we would not have met our goal - we think we may make close to the $28,000 to $30,000 before week is over - walk is Friday night at Hartselle football stadium - the Dynamic Dippers (our team) will be selling homemade Ice Cream that night - everyone come on out and have a great cup of cream for a great cause. Someone asked us yesterday how may ferns (our main seller) we have sold - we have no idea - just lots and lots - we have has stands in Hartselle and in Decatur - Our thanks to Eddie Pruitt for use of his vacant lot on corner. If any of you have not purchased your ferns f rom (fern ladies) name given to me by granddaughters Ash and M , we will be in Decatur next Monday thru Friday on 14th street.
Not much else has been going on at our house - not time when you do this project Monday - Saturday - all for the cause which is very dear to me.
The sisters (Reba, CArol and I along with Brenda (Carol's daughter ) Pam and Lisa - (Reba's
daughters) are on the team along with all husbands _ Joey , Lisa husband is our banker and
has been wonderful to make sure we have plants to sell. Husbands will be cranking out that ice cream on Friday .
I have my Granddog (Charlie) spending the week with his Memaw. - I love this little fellow - This week Bill sits with Trouble and I sit with Charlie - They both like to go ride- Trouble in her car seat and Charlie in Memaw's lap. If I didn't have this last week to work we would make Charlie a camper - I think he would do well.

Everyone have a great Sunday and a wonderful week .

Easter Sunday

Today was a great day - all our family was here for lunch - we really love having all our children and grandchildren and grand dog with us for the day - everyone has lots to eat and after lunch everyone hunted eggs that Papaw had hid (88 ) with 2 prize eggs - there are still eggs hid in yard that they (with papa's held) could not find. Brent found prize egg @2 - this is money they all put in pot. Keith R. found #1 (20.00) that Papaw made - They has a great time looking for eggs - We are so blessed to have this family - seems like they all enjoy being together. I just wish Ash & Brent were living closer - I would love to cook for them after work - this way Papaw would get meals cooked everyday. Come on Brent - move closer and I can spoil you like I have Ash and "M".

thanks to all of you for spending your day with us - We love you so much-----

Saturday Wedding

Saturday was another wedding for us - Kayla our granddaughter married Joe Thomas at a beautiful wedding in Courtland . They were married in a antibellom home - very pretty with a spiral staircase , antiques everywhere - two sitting rooms with grand piano in each - home was built in early 1910 - I sure would not want to dust that much home - beautiful to look at but not to own - I was going to post pictures of this but guess what - I failed to put chip in camera so I have it on memory and hope to transfer to computer - haven't or do not know if you can - another goof for Memaw -right Ash. Had great food at reception at the church and was very pretty - (I did get a tour of home) no way Trouble could have ever jumped on bed to sleep , I would need steps to get in the bed they use - like I say it was pretty to see but not for me
I will try and post pictures later

Gatlingburg/ Smoky Moutains

Bill & I went to Tennessee last weekend. Here are some photos we took: Our dog trouble was not real happy in the snow - it was so pretty - I am not as brave as I once was in driving in the snow - Bill says I have just gotten old

Bill's Harley

There is a story about this black Harley - this is the second time around that Bill has owned this in 2006 Bill decided he needed a different set of wheels so he sold his bike - this was done after he converted our garage into his Harley room - walls, floors and decor - all black, orange and gray with all the harley items. At christmas of 2009 he got the fever for a Harley - He started looking for his old Harley - two days after Christmas he was reading the daily when he saw ad for a harley for sale - on calling he discovered that this was his bike he had back in 2006 - needless to say he could not rest until this was back in his Harley room- he now has 3 bikes- he calls them his toys- I guess if he is happy then the house should be-- He has asked our granddaughter to take pictures of his toys when the grass is green- will post pictures of his other two toys later.
